In an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to the school environment and to sensitize the students about their role in conserving it, Aarifeen School of Excellence organized day-long plantation drive in the school premises on 25th of March, 2019. The event on the behalf of J.V Forest division Baramulla, Mr. Parvaiz Ahmad Wani of Project Sharakat Team, was attended by Mr. Gh. Hassan Mir, Block Forest Officer, Malpora block, Mr. Raess Ahmad Vakil, Divisional Coordinator Project Sharakat, Mr. Tariq Ahmad, Block Forest Officer (Hqrs) J.V Forest division, among other reputed forest officials. The event was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. The focus of the event was towards forming a personal connection between the students and trees through a process of experience, reflection and creation, carried out through different activities.
All the students of the school participated in the plantation drive wherein Cyprus and deodar saplings were planted by the school principal and other dignitaries. The teachers also explained to the students about the trees and the importance of tree plantation. At the end of the programme, there was a photo session with the principal, teachers, and students.#PLANTATION #ECOFRIENDLY #CLEANENVIRONMENT
